Building the Cattery......

Hi, I'm Woody the resident Stud around here. When mum decided that I was going to live with her she looked around for suitable accommodation but could not find what would really suit my high standards! luckily for me Uncle Mick has designed something suitable. He then recruited most of the family to help out!

While the work was going on I had privileged accommodation with Auntie Karen who lives next door to mum and breeds British shorthairs, I like to chat up her girls - they don't really like me though, British girls eh?!

Here are some pictures of the work on my new house, it was a big project as you can see!

This is the garden before the work started, a bit of a mess Mum said it's cause dad has got MS and couldn't look after it anymore so he said that mum could take his greenhouse away and make me a new house
Uncle Mick, Auntie Chrissy and Uncle Tom helped Mum to take away the hedge and the old greenhouse and then they started on the new fence to keep me safe, here they are taking a tea break
This is the new fence going up, mum said the fence posts were very heavy and digging the holes was hard work, well i think i'm worth it!
Now it was time for the foundations to be mapped out and dug, Uncle Mick asked for some more help from Uncle Paul and Uncle John
The very noisy cement mixer arrived to make the foundations here Uncle Mick is putting in the wall
Now the foundation walls have been built its now time to fill in the gap and put in the floor
Now the the paving for the housing area starts!
A bank holiday with some sunshine and the framework goes up
Barbeque, water fights, really this isn't getting my house built is it?
Ah home at last I like my new home very much thanks to ...Mick Bridge, Chrissy Bridge, Tom Bridge, Siobhan Nutley, Lee Mountford, Paul King, Paul'Boz'King, John King for their help in making my house, and thanks to Karen Kempsell for keeping me safe while my new home was being built.
More framework and wire ..... and some monkey business!
Time to build the walls and make my home waterproof and warm
The roof goes on!
insulation and walls
framework for the houses
the cat flaps are fitted, what's this? a new breed of cat?
Tiles

Some paint and a runway...

Some entertainment
Mum and Aunt Chrissy put together a unit to store my food.
A nice new shelf
This is the other stud house
The shelves all finished and sealed and a new bed ... can i finally be comming home?
Ah home at last!
